The most recent event in the rich poker schedule of the World Series of Poker Sydney was the anticipated by many A$5K Challenge and it brought a fascinating gaming experience to poker players from near and far. Rubie’s Experience in the Poker World
When asked for a comment on his performance, Rubie stated that he feels amazed by the fact that he is back at the same final table a year later and he has finally received what he deserves. However, luck has very little to do with that, since the Sydney poker player has spent the whole year actively working on his poker strategy which payed out in the A$5K tournament. His total live earnings are estimating to $1,546,672 and for the most part, Rubie is among the top performing players in the poker tournaments he participates in. His biggest live cash amounts to $242,458 and he managed to receive it back in 2012.
Rubie made it to the runner-up position in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em Four Handed event at the 43rd WSOP in Las Vegas. For his proficient game, he received the big prize and a sweet well-deserved payday. His last cash from a poker event was back in August when he participated in the $250 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack Turbo at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. He claimed the tenth position on the official leader board and this brought him a fair share of the total prize pool amounting to $655. As for the most recent tournament he participated in, WSOP had taken care to provide a generous guaranteed prize pool amounting to A$1 million.
The two-day event welcomed 34 players to its second day of game. Even at the very beginning, Rubie felt confident he will be able to defeat them all and his relatively good stack helped to boost his performance. Among the final table members, there were some renown players to the likings of Andy Lee and Toothpick Tony, who both have more than half a million in live poker earnings. Other Aussie pros in the tournament were Jarred Graham, Daniel Nielson, as well as Jonathan Karamalikis proving that the competition for the top positions was very heated.
