The poker industry is in for a treat since PokerCentral recently announced the US Poker Open tournament which is the newest addition to the busy calendar with events for the upcoming 2018. It is scheduled to commence on 1st February in ARIA Resort and Casino, and it will also be available on PokerGO. There will be a total of eight events open for participation, among which a Pot-Limit Omaha one and the eye-catching $25,000 Mixed Game Championship.
In an attempt to spice things up in the poker world, PokerCentral has decided to introduce some variety when it comes to the style of games played during poker festivals. Most of the time poker players participate in No-Limit Hold’em events and this has always been a staple in the schedules of all high-stakes poker festivals around the world. This will be the first edition of this poker festival and it is going to span over the course of eleven days. Between the 1st and the 11th February poker enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take part in events featuring buy-ins to the likings of $10,000, $25,000, and $50,000.
The poker action will take place at the ARIA, Las Vegas which is a regular host of such premium festivals. Joe Kakaty, President of PokerCentral, stated that the PokerGO platform allows subscribed viewers to enjoy high-stakes poker throughout the whole year and the very beginning of the tournament calendar will present the brand-new U.S. Poker Open. There will be two Hold’em events featuring buy-ins amounting to $10,000, as well as three $25,000 Hold’em ones. In addition to them, there will be a Pot-Limit Omaha with $10,000 buy-in and the $25,000 Mixed-Game Championship.
This will make for a well-rounded mix including Limit Hold’em, No-Limit Hold’em, Razz, Stud, Stud Hi-Lo, Omaha Hi-Lo, Pot-Limit Omaha, as well as 2-7 Triple Draw. Each one of the poker tournament will last two days and it will feature a single re-entry option, while the Mixed Game Championship is scheduled to continue three days. After those tournaments, the major $50,000 Main Event is scheduled to commence on 9th February and span over three days as well. As for the tables throughout the festival, all of them will be six-handed and only the final tables will be seven-handed.
