Poker players have a new reason to rejoice since yesterday the World Poker Tour announced its complete detailed schedule of the upcoming 2018 edition of the WPT European Championship. It is going to commence on 5th January and it will continue until the 15th, turning Spielbank Casino in Berlin, Germany into the hottest spot in the poker world. As it was announced the poker festival is going to feature a guaranteed total prize pool amounting to €1.6 million, as well as anticipated by many WPTDeepStacks and World Poker Tour Main Events.
Probably one of the most memorable events in the schedule is going to be the WPT European Championship €3,300 Main Event which will boast a guaranteed prize pool amounting to €1 million. It is going to commence on 10th January and it will continue until the 15th, covering five days of the festival and closing it with a bang. There are 12 more poker tournaments ready to welcome their participants during the WPT European Championships and the managers of the festival guarantee they will be available for poker players from all levels of proficiency. The buy-ins for the poker events will range from as few as €77 for the No-Limit Hold’em Cool Down to the largest one €15,300 for the High Roller Progressive Bounty. There are also the mandatory satellite events which provide players with a way to qualify for the WPT European Championship €3,300 Main Event and the WPTDeepStacks Berlin €1,500 Main Event.
Adam Pliska, Chief Executive Officer of the World Poker Tour stated that this is going to be the first edition of a televised WPT Main Tour taking place in Europe since Season XII and this is going to be the WPT European Championship. It will also be the first edition of the poker festival arriving in Germany, the very heart of Europe.
