The poker festival of the World Series of Poker International Circuit made its stop at the tourist destination Rozvadov in the Czech Republic and thousands of poker enthusiasts made their appearance in some or all of the poker events. The rich schedule provided poker offerings for all poker players, from the amateurs to the professional ones and now we are able to showcase those of them who managed to win big during the poker bonanza.
At the very beginning of the WSOP Circuit Andrej Desset from Slovakia managed to claim the top position at the first Ring Event for this edition of the festival. The €270+29 No-Limit Hold’em – Oktoberfest featured a relatively small buy-in, but it had a big prize on offer, which Desset laid his hands on. He defeated a total of 2,085 players and went home with €94,495 ($111,084) and the first WSOP gold ring in the Rozvadov’s edition of the festival.
The second Ring Event of the WSOP International Circuit also attracted a lot of attention with its affordable €500+50 buy-in and the guaranteed prize pool amounting to €300,000. The big winner at this tournament was Ben Bensimhon from Switzerland, who received €69,550 ($81,629) for his deep run in the game. He defeated 763 other poker players participating in the Monster Stack Event and went home with the second gold ring.
Another Ring Event which granted its winner with a large prize and a gold ring was the €600+66 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max tournament which attracted a total of 187 entries. The poker players were ready to demonstrate their poker skills and they succeeded in swelling the total prize pool to €106,590, which in turn amped up their winnings. The two-day event gave chance to Germany’s Jan Jobmann to climb all the way to the top and pocket the first place prize estimating to €25,581 ($30,013), as well as the sixth gold ring in WSOP International Circuit Rozvadov.
High Stakes During the High Roller
One of the most anticipated poker tournaments was undoubtedly the €5,000+300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller one, which was also the tenth Ring Event in the schedule. The two-day event had a total of 40 entries, but with their collective effort, the total prize pool reached €190,000. The throne was occupied by Bulgaria’s Fahredin Mustafov, who claimed €70,300 ($83,195) and a sparkling gold ring for his excellent performance.
The Main Event was the culminating point of the poker festival and there were a total of 672 players ready to participate in it. Featuring a buy-in of €1,500+150, this No-Limit Hold’em Main Event was also the eleventh Ring tournament and the guaranteed prize pool in it was the impressive €1,000,000. Hossein Ensan from Germany claimed the first place on the leader board and for this he received €184,812 ($219,036) and a gold WSOP Circuit ring.
