The World Series of Poker Europe has announced that the guarantee of the €10,000 + €350 entry Main Event has been raised to €5,000,000. The winner of the Main Event which will take place this November is going to take home €1,000,000.
This November will welcome the World Series of Poker Europe tournament which will take place in the Czech Republic. King’s Casino Rozvadov will be hosting the major event in the poker world and the stakes are high for the operators. According to the schedule posted on the official web page of the event, the tournament should commence on 19th October and continue well into 10th of November, giving plenty of time to the poker players to demonstrate their full potential on the poker tables.
As it was originally known, the guarantee for the Main Event, which will put an end to the tournament week, was planned to be €4,000,000, however, representatives of the casino have announced that the guarantee will be raised. Their decision comes as a response to the enormous interest in the poker tournament and a large number of early bookings which have been made. This change of the initial plan will also ensure that the winner receives a bigger prize for the first place, as whoever gets to them will become a million Euro richer.
Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King’s Casino Rozvadov also added that there are currently almost a hundred €11,000 deposits for the €111,000 High Roller For One Drop. This event is scheduled to commence on 3rd November and as it was confirmed, it has a maximum of 111 players who can participate in it and there are a couple of months left until its start. Last year’s edition of the World Series of Poker Circuit gathered more than 250,000 poker players to the venue of the King’s Casino Rozvadov, and the expectations for this year’s tournament are this number to double up.
The bars are set high for the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe since it could be considered one of the biggest poker festivals. The World Series of Poker Circuit will effortlessly lead to the Europe edition boasting the spectacular €20,000,000 guarantee. Speaking of the spectacular, there are 14 rings and 11 bracelets waiting to meet their new owners among the poker pros attending the scheduled events. Providing for the fun game will be the presence of some of the most renown poker names in the industry, such as Phil Hellmuth, who has reportedly signed up for the full tournament.
This year will be the first time the World Series of Poker Europe is hosted in the Czech Republic. The King’s Casino Rozvadov features what is known as the largest poker room in Europe, boasting 160 tables available for all poker enthusiasts.
