The World Series of Poker Europe, which will take place at King’s Casino in the Czech Republic from 19th October to 10th November, already seems to draw the attention of poker fans with 84 registered to qualify in the €111,111 One Drop High Roller event, paying non-refundable deposit 6 months in advance.
World Series of Poker Europe is one of the biggest poker competition, which brings poker players from all over the world to compete for the guaranteed prize pool and the title. This year, the tournament is announced to kick off on 19th October at King’s Casino. Besides all the events, the competition includes the long-awaited annual Main Event and €111,111 High Roller, starting on 3rd November.
Up to now, it was reported that there are 84 players, who have already qualified to participate in the €111,111 High Roller Event. In other words, 84 players have already paid €11,000 deposit six months in advance. The event will show once again support to its charitable partner One Drop. WSOP launched this tradition years ago, when the organizers introduced the first One Drop High Roller Event, which donates money to the charitable organization.
From the first time the event was introduced, it witnessed great interest, attracting poker players with a high guaranteed prize pool. The main idea is that part of the buy-in goes to the fund of the charity organization.
This is the first event in the history, which reached the record $1 million buy-in. The maximum number of the players for this year’s One Drop High Roller Event is 111 and all the players will compete in a No-limit Hold’em variation of the game.
The last charity WSOP event, $111,111 One Drop High Roller was won by Doug Polk, who managed to appear on the first position after 4 days of fighting with poker players of all rank. Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King’s Casino congratulated the player, offering him an invitation to participate in the next session of the tournament, which will start on 3rd November.
Up to now, the organizers of the event shared that there are already 84 players, who qualified their seat in the $111,111 One Drop High Roller Event. Both amateurs and professionals, including the bracelet-winner Igor Kurganov, Gus Hansen and Liv Boeree are expected to appear on the poker tables of the event.
This re-entry event offers the players a chance to show their skills on the poker table, compete for the prize pool worth €10,000,000 and gold bracelet, and, in the meanwhile, help thousands of people to solve their water problems. It is expected to be a spectacular match. The €111,111 One Drop High Roller Event will be preceded by €1,100 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold’em with a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
