Rozvadov Braces for Third WSOP Europe Bracelet and PLO 8-Max Event Final Day

King’s Casino is knee-deep in the latest World Series of Poker festival which transforms the heart of Europe into the most heated arena for international poker pros. The third event which has a WSOP Europe Bracelet as a first-place prize is already in full swing and rapidly approaching its final stages with as many as 572 entries and only 46 making it this far.

This Tuesday saw the official start of WSOP Europe PLO 8-Max Event coming with a mandatory buy-in of €550 and as many as 152 players making it to Day 1a of the event. They were all willing to make it to the other side of the first starting flight, as this guarantees them a spot on Day 2. As many as 78 players decided it would be best if they gave their luck a second chance and re-entered the race towards the top positions on the leader board.

The Pot Limit Omaha enjoys quite the popularity among players from near and far, so projections are that the overall prize pool would exceed the previously announced guaranteed one.

Poker Battle Progresses ahead

Probably the most attractive feature of this event ever since the very beginning was the guaranteed prize pool which amounted to some €100,000. Each of the players registering for action was eligible for a chip stack of 200,000 in chips. At the end of the day, there were only 21 participants surviving, the best among them proving to be Dor Mey Tal from Israel. After the last level of action, he had a total of 643,000 to his name.

The second starting flight of this tournament drew as many as 189 players from all four corners of the world, already warmed up for the poker battle. The additional 153 re-entries further boosted the overall prize pool of this third Bracelet tournament. Christopher Back coming all the way from Canada was the player who succeeded in claiming the larger portion of chips available on the felt.

He had a total of 885,000 in chips at the end of the day and led the remaining 25 players towards the next stage of the event. Bulgaria appeared to have a strong presence in this flight with to players qualifying for Day 2. Poker player Viliyan Petleshkov was among the entries progressing ahead with 219,000 to his name. Luchezar Pumpalov was the other participant following on the 10th position with some 208,000 in chips.

Third Bracelet Awaits its New Owner

At this point, there are only 46 players remaining in the event and all of them are more than ready to make it all the way up. Back remains the chip leader and currently has the largest chances to claim the throne and the Gold Bracelet coming with it. Meanwhile, Edward Lawrie from the UK is the player with fewest chips to his name at the very beginning of Day 2 – only 72,000.

Michal Mrakes is also among the players made it this far in the structure of the tournament with a chipcount of 141,000. It could be recalled that he was the chip leader leading into WSOP Circuit Texas Hold’em No-Limit 6-Max Event which eventually brought Ring #7 to its new owner. As for this Bracelet #3 event, the skillful winner would receive some €59,625, whereas the consolation prize amounts to €36,851.

As a result of the two starting flights, the overall prize pool estimated this Wednesday reached €274,417. The only thing left for remaining participants is to showcase their set of skills on the felt and outplay their rivals for the big cashes and the third out of ten Bracelets.
