Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino has dedicated the past several weeks for the riveting poker action which comes with the World Series of Poker’s 49th edition. One of its promising events is no other than the 62nd one which bears the name $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed and is sponsored by 888poker. Its official Day 3 was supposed to be the last one, but as it turns out action will resume this Thursday.
There is no place like Las Vegas when it comes to gambling offerings and entertainment potential. Large international poker festivals are also always welcome in the gambling hub which is why WSOP is usually able to attract thousands of players willing to become part of one of the poker tournaments. The rich schedule of this festival is what makes it particularly interesting for both people with basic knowledge of the poker game and professional players known around the world.
The festival gives a wide variety of poker players the chance to play together and compete for the throne which usually comes with one of the coveted WSOP gold bracelets. This event is special in a way that it is able to grant the big winner with a previously appointed cash prize amounting to some $888,888. Over the span of the four days which provide players with the chance to enter the game, some 8,598 of them made their way in and registered for the action.
Remaining Three Players to Return for Final Battle
This is one of the record player pools of this 49th edition of WSOP and many people were attracted by the cash prizes it has on offer for the top positions on the official leader board. With its first starting flight commencing last Saturday players had enough time to make it all the way to the anticipated Day 2 and reunite once again with the remaining participants.
At the beginning of the third day of poker action of this event, the number of players returning for action was significantly reduced and only the best were still in their seats. Among them were big names to the liking of Laurent Polito, Chris Moorman, and Andrey Zaichenko who are familiar for their professional performance at previous tournaments of the WSOP. Moorman managed to reach the chip leader position at the end of Day 1C and this gave him a fair boost towards the next stage of the poker event.
Galen Hall was the player who bagged the largest chip stack at the end of Day 2 – 6,595,000 and this meant that he welcomed all remaining 29 participants as the possessor of a big portion of the overall chips. Poker action during the day was rapid and many players were quick to exit the event with cash prizes only, but still far from the top positions.
Zaichenko claimed the fourth spot on the official leader board as he was part of the final table. This brought him a sweet payday of $266,888. Once the final table was reduced to only three players remaining on their seats, they decided it would be best if poker action continues on the following day even though it was not previously planned.
Those who will meet once again on Day 4 are Galen Hall who is the chip leader at the moment with a total of 30,100,000 in chips, as well as Niels Herregodts on the runner-up position with some 24,750,000. Following them closely is the third player Eduards Kudrjavcevs who has a total of 16,400,000 to his name.
