PokerFever Festival continues to bring riveting poker action to enthusiasts from all four corners of the world and this Thursday welcomed its second day of poker tournaments. King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic continues welcoming more and more enthusiasts ready to test their skills in the following events. This Thursday saw the official start of the highly-anticipated Opening Big Stack Event which is set to feature as many as 5 starting flights, the last one of which would be a Turbo one.
The remaining days of this week are scheduled to see quite the poker action and many players are eagerly anticipating the next starting flight of the Opening Big Stack Event which will provide them with a chance to enter the tournament and potentially reserve them a spot on the Final Day which is set to take place this Sunday. The guaranteed prize pool for this event amounts to some €100,000 which could grant the top position on the official leader board with some impressive prizes. This is expected to bring more people to the field and guarantee interesting poker action throughout the starting flights and the Final Day.
The buy-in which has to be paid by every player amounts to €165 and this relatively low sum makes it easier for both advanced and beginner players to make their way into the event. What truly differentiates this poker tournament from the rest of the events in the rich schedule of PokerFever is the fact that each participant commences their run towards the throne with as much as 50,000 in chips. With this amount of chips, they have the freedom to start poker action early on and alternate their game strategies as the levels progress.
Day 1a Poker Action
As many as 50 players registered for participation in this poker tournament and after an untimely elimination 11 of them decided to make their way back in with a conveniently provided re-entry. This elevated the overall number of entries during the first starting flight to 61. However, at the end of the day, there were only 10 of them surviving and all of them will have the chance to meet again on the final day of action where the most skillful player among all survivors will be chosen.
At the end of this Thursday’s action, the chip leader among the 10 players continuing ahead was poker player from Germany registered under the nickname chiKKita banAAna. With a chip stack amounting to some 686,000 this player managed to place a considerable gap between the first place and the runner-up position on the unofficial leader board. Antonin Dolak who is a local player is the one following him at a relative distance with his bag full of 416,000 in chips.
There are also familiar faces from the previous poker festival which took place at this same venue, partypoker Grand Prix Germany. This is Vasile Strugari from Romania who claimed the fifth spot in this event’s rank list with his chip count of 330,000.
