The long-anticipated partypoker Grand Prix Germany Main Event saw its official starting day this Thursday and this locked all eyes on the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. All of the participants had the chance to participate in the live Day 1a and those of them who survived will meet again on Day 2. The chip leader at the end of the first starting flight was local player Lukas V. who generated some 2,480,000.
Each of the players had the chance to enter the tournament after the buy-in of €220, as this gives them the chance to claim a fair share of the total prize pool generated by all participants. The guaranteed prize pool announced at the beginning of the poker tournament amounted to some €500,000 which is a significant amount of money. There were some 602 entries willing to enter the poker action and make their way to the top. What should be taken into account is that prior to the live action there were online days which take place on partypoker.
Online Day 1b brought some 81 players who measured their skills, but only 8 of them managed to remain on the field and they received the chance to meet again on the live Day 2 at King’s. Two more online starting flights were set to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday and they managed to warm up the players for the live tournament. As for the live Day 1a, there were as many as 72 players willing to re-enter the poker tournament, since they were eliminated from the run sooner than expected.
Poker Action during the Main Event
At the end of the day, there were only 78 players surviving and they will have the chance to meet again on the official Day 2. According to the schedule, there will be a total of six flights which will attract players to the culminating event. The starting flights will put to the test all players registered for participation and they are going to continue until Sunday.
The last one of them is going to be a Turbo 1f day which will also be the last opportunity for registering in the Main Event. Several hours after that the official Day 2 is going to start giving all of the participants the chance to make their name known. The end of Day 1a of the Main Event brought a fair amount of chips to many players remaining on the poker tables, as it should be taken into account that each and every one of them began the run with a total of 100,000 in chips.
The runner-up position at the end of the day was reserved for Felix Fenchl from Germany who managed to amass some 1,780,000 in chips and has the real potential to reach the throne at the end of the Main Event. This Friday is going to see the official live Day 1b take place at the King’s Casino and potentially attracting even more enthusiasts to the culminating event.
