Rens Feenstra Leads Chip Count on WPT Amsterdam €3,300 Main Event Day 4

Poker action is in full swing at the Holland Casino in Amsterdam where the WPT attracts hundreds of participants to the 2018 World Poker Tour Amsterdam Season 2017-2018. The Main Event commenced on Monday and gave green light to riveting poker action on the felt, leading to Day 4 which saw local player Rens Feenstra claiming the chip lead with his chip stack amounting to 2,949,000.

The WPT Amsterdam Main Event, had its initial starting flight immediately after the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam Main Event had finished and a winner had been chosen among all players. Starting poker action on 16th April, Monday every enthusiast willing to register for the second culminating event had the chance to do so. The buy-in for this event amounted to €3,300, guaranteeing a generous prize pool as well as considerable prizes for the top places on the official leader board.

This was confirmed once the poker action commenced and 207 players made their ways to one of the two starting flight of the event. Each player entered the race towards the throne with a total of 30,000 in chips, giving them all equal chances for winning. As for the registration window for this tournament, players will be able to find their spots until the start of Day 2. A total of 24 players returned for Day 4 of action and the cheap leader among them was Justin Bonomo from the US who is a highly-accomplished pro with a chip stack amounting to 790,500.

Progress of the Poker Action

The skillful winner who makes their way to the top is set to become the newest member of the WPT Champions Club. This motivated everyone to show their best performance on the felt and make it in. At the moment Feenstra is way ahead of the rest of the remaining players and he has some 147 big blinds to his name. With his $945,335 in total live earnings, he is considered a potential winner in the Main Event.

The runner-up position is currently taken by Ema Zajmovic, who is also a promising player on the felt. This is her third WPT final table, but also her first one outside her usual poker field in Canada. She managed to amass some 793,000 in chips, placing her close to the top whereas the third place was taken by Gary Miller from the United Kingdom. Over the span of Day 4, he played in a way that secured him some 791,000 in chips to his name.

A total of six players continue ahead towards Day 5 which is also going to be their last day in the poker tournament. The most skillful on the poker table will be crowned as the new winner who will receive some €156,370 for his performance, including a $15,000 entry into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.
