Poker festivals and tournaments strive to provide their participants with a never-ending flow of excitement and entertainment and this is what is currently happening at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino located in Hollywood, Florida. This Friday saw the official Day 1a of the WPT Championship which is scheduled to continue until next Wednesday, giving everyone a chance to put their poker skills to the test.
This is one of the long-anticipated poker tournaments in the rich schedule of the World Poker Tour as it has quite the benefits attached to it. Each player feeling confident enough to enter the live tournament has to pay a buy-in amounting to some $3,500. This, in turn, leads to the large cash prizes that the best of them are going to receive at the end of the poker tournament. The guaranteed prize pool which comes with this event amounts to some $3,000,000, but there are forecasts that the eventual total prize pool will surpass this amount, due to the large interest towards participation.
This championship is part of the larger Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Festival which officially commenced on 5th April and is going to end on 17th April. Friday saw the first out of two starting flights, the second one taking place on Saturday. Following the period of incoming new players, there will be a total of four days of poker action scheduled, since the final table is going to take place on Wednesday. According to the information provided by the WPT organization team, the heated final table is going to be filmed for TV and live-streamed on PokerGO.
