Atlantic City’s Tropicana Casino will soon transition to a new platform for its interactive gambling site of the same name. The operator recently terminated its partnership with the London-based company Gamesys Limited and will switch to using the services of Light & Wonder, previously known as Scientific Games Corporation. The switch is scheduled for May 25 this year and could potentially strengthen the company’s position on the US online gaming market.
Registered customers can continue placing wagers via the casino’s application until the move takes place. Users have no reasons for concern as their records will be effortlessly transferred to the new platform, including their existing real-money balances, banking methods, and documents.
Once the transition occurs on May 25, returning customers will have to navigate to the Caesars Casino application where they must reset their current sign-in credentials to gain access to the full gaming library. In early April, the operator started to remove jackpot games in preparation for the platform transition.
Registered users had access to monthly and daily free games by the end of April. The operator also suspended its promotional incentives temporarily in early May as part of the preparation for the switch. The move will result in the merger of the two apps, with Tropicana joining the ranks of other Caesars Interactive online gambling brands like Caesars’ Online and Harrah’s.
Caesars Casino to Rebrand as Tropicana Casino
The merging will allow Tropicana Casino to gain exposure to a broader audience. Furthermore, the plans are to rebrand the Caesars Casino application to Tropicana. The move is logical since Tropicana is a highly recognized brand name in the industry. It reported revenue of a little over US$18 million for this year’s first two months alone.
Several other brands have also secured deals with Caesars Entertainment but the exact dates of their market entries are yet unknown. Among them are SkillonNet’s PlayOJO, MaximBet, and PlayUp, all of which are expected to enter the market later this year.
Tropicana’s new platform partner rebranded from Scientific Games Corporation to Light & Wonder earlier this year. According to the company, the new brand name better reflects its focus on creating great gaming content and ensuring a seamless experience for players across all platforms.
The US-based company has decades of industry experience and owns several other well-known game publishers, including WMS Industries, Bally Technologies, Shuffle Master, and SG Gaming. Its subsidiaries have launched thousands of slots and table games, along with various casino management tools.
Their innovative products have made waves at both online and landbased casinos, including those in major gambling hubs like Atlantic City and Las Vegas. The Light & Wonder software platform provides a range of modern gambling solutions, offering partner operators payment and customer support integration tools, along with a catalog of over 500 casino games.
