In its constant strive to better its performance, the American company that provides gambling products and services to lottery and gambling organizations worldwide recently announced the appointment of Barry Cottle as its new Chief Executive Officer and President of the electronic gaming machines developer.

Scientific Games has been dedicating its efforts to offering customers a fully integrated portfolio of technology platforms, robust systems, engaging content and services on a daily basis. The electronic gaming machines developer Scientific Games made it clear that there will be a reshuffle in the leading positions of the company and this recent announcement confirms its previously considered plans.
Mr. Cottle is going to succeed the current President and CEO of the company Kevin Sheehan who has decided to move to the position of Senior Advisor of the company. These changes are set to come into effect on 1st June this year and make the reshuffle official. What should be taken into account is that Mr. Cottle is not new to the leading position as up to this point he has been the CEO of SG Interactive which is the company’s division which operates in the iGaming and social casino fields. He was appointed to the position back in August 2015 and ever since then he has overseen the management of the division.
Previous Experience of the New Leaders
With its highly-discussed acquisition of NYX, Scientific Games made it clear that it is going to explore new fields and introduce new offerings to its customers and this move was propelled by the driving force of Mr. Cottle. Before his decision to join the team of the gaming developer he used to demonstrate his management skills as Vice Chairman of Deluxe Entertainment.
His career there brought the official launch of the company’s Virtual Reality offerings showcasing his true potential as a leader. Another new addition to the workforce of Scientific Games is going to be Tim Bucher who is set to become the new Executive Vice President of the company as well as Chief Product Officer. During his professional career so far Mr. Bucher has met and worked for some of the most well-known trailblazers in the technological world to the likings of Apple, Microsoft, Dell, and Seagate Technology.
Serving in executive positions for Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Michael Dell he has amassed quite the experience which is what makes him a suitable candidate for the leading role. It could be recalled that back in March this year the company boosted its development with the help of the newly-appointed Senior Vice President of SG Digital, Ashley Sandyford-Sykes. There was also the new appointment of Sue Dawson as Deputy General Counsel at SG Digital following her work as Scientific Games’ Legal Director for the UK region.
