The World Series of Poker Europe has its fifth event currently in progress and this gathering of poker pros is offering a riveting gaming experience. One of the flights of Day 1, namely 1h of the Event #5: The Colossus €550 No-Limit Hold’em just finished and this made Jaroslaw Sikora the ultimate chip leader among the participants. At the moment he has a total of 507,000 chips and this demonstrates his high level of proficiency.
As many of 29 players survived the day and they will have the honor to continue ahead towards Day 2 of the poker tournament. Only nine hours were necessary for the poker player from Poland to advance ahead of his rivals and climb to the leading position on the leader board. This automatically made him the absolute chip leader among the players who had already made it to the second day of the tournament. Sikora has recent experience with the poker cashes since he participated in the events of the WSOP Circuit and managed to earn some good money at them.
Following him closely is Laszlo Toth from Hungary who had 484,500 in chips at the end of the day. He has also been in Rozvadov for quite some time, stacking chips and big wins. So far he has two earnings at WSOP Circuit events. The third position is reserved for Sander van Wesemael from Netherlands who has amassed a chip stack amounting to 472,000. At the beginning of Day 1h, he could not brag with an impressive chip stack but as the hours progressed he managed to change that for the better.
Among the poker players continuing ahead in the tournament are the WSOP winners Martin Kabrhel from the Czech Republic who pocketed 235,000, and Canada’s Erik Cajelais with a total of 160,500 in chips. As it could be recalled Kabrhel is a brand new WSOPE gold bracelet winner. Among the notable names which could not make it to the second day are players to the likings of Theodoros Aidonopoulos, Catalin Pop, Pierre Neuville, Sebastian Langrock, Chris Ferguson, Ryan Hughes, and Dermot Blain.
Chip Leader with Long Experience
Only for the month of October the chip leader Sikora has three cashes at the WSOP Circuit poker festival and this makes him one of the more active players to participate in the second day of Event #5. The most recent event he participated in was Ring Event #11 €1,500+150 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event where he made it to the 30th position eventually winning €5,554. This is the biggest cash he made during this year’s edition of the festival.
Sikora’s total live earnings amount to $1,164,384 and this amount has been amassed ever since his first participation in live poker event. He debuted in the €200+20 No-Limit Hold’em Eureka 3 which took place in Varna, Bulgaria back in 2013. Demonstrating his poker skills he finished 12th and laid his hands on €400.
