Oneida Indian Nation Launches Its Third New York Casino this Thursday

The state of New York is going to see the official launch of yet another tribal casino this Thursday and this is going to be the Point Place Casino. The new location is managed by the Oneida Indian Nation which is famous for its tribal casino management and as it was confirmed by the tribal casino operator, the building of the location cost as much as $40 million.

With this latest addition to the New York casino industry, the total number of gambling facilities within the borders of the state amounts to 20. This includes both commercial and tribal gambling venues and it means that the state is in a very delicate situation when it comes to the revenues of the said gaming venues and the potential of cannibalization in the sector. Regardless of the concerns and warnings of experts in the field, the new gambling facility is going to grant central New York with its presence and the big payouts it is prepared to hand out.

Offerings in the New Gaming Facility

Point Place Casino is located in Bridgeport, Madison County, which is about 15 miles away from downtown Syracuse, and as it is known, is the third casino venue which is overseen by the Native American tribe. The previous two which are managed by the Oneida Indian Nation are Turning Stone casino, located in Verona, as well as the relatively smaller facility named Yellow Brick Road in Chittenango. The latter is inspired by The Wizard of Oz and it bears the theme throughout the whole venue.

The new casino venue is a 65,000-square-foot one, guaranteeing enough space for displaying all available slot devices and gaming offerings. There will be a total of 500 slot machines as well as some 20 table games, ready to see their first users win big. This amount might seem small to some gaming experts, but the ultimate goal of the casino management is to attract enough casino players in order to stay afloat and not overpopulate the dense gambling field. For reference, the newest gaming venue Resort World Catskills which saw its official launch on 8th February has 2,151 slot machines and 112 table games on offer.

In addition to that, it was recently announced that Scientific Games has entered a partnership with the Native American tribe, which will see the company’s products introduced to the three locations. The new casino venue will also have the offerings of the well-known gaming developer and players will have the chance to give their luck a try on some of the most successful devices while the whole process is being managed by Scientific Games’ management solutions.

Some of the offerings which will be implemented in the operation of the venue are the SDS slot management system, TableView table management system, and CMP player-tracking system which are all going to guarantee the smooth operation of the facilities. In terms of marketing solutions, there will also be the Elite Bonusing Suite, as well as the supplier’s iVIEW 4 and iVIEW Display Manager.
